For the price, I didn't expect much, but was very happily surprised. The instructions were kind of a head scratcher, but I figured most of it out. I have edema and peripheral neuropathy, my husband severe edema, so thought I'd give this a shot to see what it could do. I do have a couple of tips after some trial and error. First, make sure the mat is on a hard floor surface, NOT a carpet, and be in your bare feet. We both got lots more sensation standing on the mat as opposed to using it sitting in a chair. It took awhile for both of us to feel any energy coming off the mat at first, so stick with the entire routine (15-20 minutes) and adjust the intensity upward until you can feel something. Hold down the center (mode/on-off) button for 2 seconds to turn it on, then press the + button to up the intensity or the - button to lower it. You can stand on the mat, then turn it on, or turn it on and quickly (within 10 seconds) step on the mat. It recharges rather quickly when you plug it in to the USB port. I do like that it isn't tethered to a long cord; very portable and lets you find a good spot that may not be close to an outlet. MODES: (they're listed in a picture in the product description below the Amazon order information). Massage, knead, scraping, pressure, acupoint, cupping, activate and shape. Activate is a massage mode, nothing to do with turning the unit off or on, I discovered. Once you press the center (mode) button for TWO SECONDS to turn the unit on, press the center (mode) button ONCE QUICKLY to cycle through the various modes. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I dint even know if i have neuropathy, but my feet often hurt so I thought I would try it. Its a perfectly flat plastic flexible thing that you stand on. It has a little module that snaps onto it that you charge and it holds a charge for a long time ( weeks?) You turn on the power button then adjust the number for the strength and it buzzes your feet. Like a massage chair at a pedicure place, there are a bunch of different patterns of the electrical impulse it sends to the bottom of your feet. I like the first one best which is called massage. It’s just on for about 2 seconds then off for one second. There are lots of other patterns, such as ten short jolts then one long. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to stand on it or sit down and have your feet with lighter pressure. I have mostly stood on it. “6” is plenty high enough stimulation for me althoughI have tried it higher. I couldn’t capture it on video but you can see muscles twitch involuntarily in your feet and ankles with every buzz. I’m sure it increases circulation.

I have had painful peripheral neuropathy for several years. I own several TENs units, but the pads are small, and difficult to obtain good coverage. This pad provides full coverage to the bottom of both feet at the same time. I am particularly satisfied that it is wireless. If you have used TENs, you know what I am talking about. The directions are a little difficult to understand, but easy once you get the hang of it. There is no gel included, but I highly recommend that you use some to get the full effect. You can actually just use some salt water. The different modes are useful to spread the pain relieving effect.
