Loved this sacroiliac joint pain hip belt! It can be tightened anyway you feel comfortable. Perfect to wear when doing sports. I wear it playing golf. It doesn't "ride up", stays in place well below the waist. I have even worn it to bed when my pain was severe.
I was skeptical about this device but I was in so much pain I would’ve tried anything. The first evening I used it I actually got a good nights sleep. I have had SI joint pain ever since my first pregnancy a few years ago. Since then, I’ve been using the Serola belt but I’m now pregnant again in my third trimester and the Serola belt is getting a little small so I figured I’d try something new. This belt is amazing! Comparatively, it’s a bit thicker than the Serola, but that allows it to stay in place much better. Also, you have to adjust the tension straps on the Serola every time you put it on, where these you can just adjust once and they will stay at that tension level while taking off/putting back on. Highly recommend, even for pregnant ladies!
This was needed during my pregnancy. It’s great while standing and doing tasks, but sitting I found it to be not my favorite thing (still did it’s job I was just slightly uncomfortable with the pressure it put on my underbelly area) also I tried it in my sleep but evidently I took it off in my sleep
I like that it can be pulled down low in the back and angled up in the front. - It's not uncomfortable. It's not bulky. I wear it under a cami and it's unnoticeable under my shirts and blouses, unless you touch it. It doesn't look like an ugly back brace. - My lower back has slipped 50% and nothing takes away the pain completely, but this makes it possible to go outside my comfort zone. Because it can be angled up and down, it takes care of the stress on my back a few vertebrae up when I have to bend a lot to do laundry, for example. (A less important benefit is when it is angled down in the back and up slightly in the front, it takes care of minor bulges around the hip which I can't complain about! )
I never knew there was even such a product to help and support sacroiliac joint. Straight forward and easy to use, getting it in the right place by feeling my hip bone so making sure top of the belt sits below this as per instructions. Unknown to me for 5 years or so I struggled with what I thought it was bit of sciatica but actually twisted pelvis that cause this sciatica pain in my buttock, hip flexor on my left side to the point was so painful I couldn’t get out of the car. Had both sides adjusted back but was warned once it’s been twisted, it weakened the joints and have to be careful on what I do on a daily basis as it can easily gets twisted again. He was right cause I’ve been back four more times cause of a slight twist on my left side. Tried just about every product. From creams, yoga pressure mat, 3 tens, another type of tens, full cushion massager,4 hand massagers, chiropractor did help but insurance won’t cover anymore, ice helped for a short time. I am pregnant in the third trimester with my third child, and the pelvic pain/instability has been rather grueling this time around. I am not one to write many reviews, but I have to say this was one of the smartest purchases I have made online in a while. This simple velcro style belt has been my life saver. This product is definitely worth a try if you have sciatic/ lower back pain. I work on my feet full time and have struggled with sciatic pain/ lower back pain. I’ve tried back braces but my job requires me to bend and that means the full back support brace was more uncomfortable than helpful. Make sure to watch YouTube videos of how to wear a Sciatic Support brace. Since you wear it low on the waist, it’s easier to wear all day and doesn’t affect daily activities like bedding or stooping. It’s pretty stylish too! Once you put it on your waist where it’s supposed to set, you pull the support bands on the side and you’ll instantly feel some relief. This won’t prevent your back from hurting but it will prevent you from over exerting certain motions to prevent your back from getting to the “unbearable” point.
My boyfriend has been suffering for weeks from sciatic pain. He is going to see a surgeon later this week but I saw this and wondered if it could provide some relief. At first I stopped wearing it after about day 3 or 4, when I felt like it was getting uncomfortable. That was a mistake. I have an injury to my sij, and the support this offers is necessary to keep that joint in place. By wearing this nonstop for about 2 weeks now I have stopped the joint from the uncomfortable popping and grinding. It has also given me the stability on the injured side to do things like sit on a toilet seat normally. I’m feeling much better with this on now. I keep it on my skin to stop it from sliding up. I have even been sleeping with it on because I find that stability for healing has outweighed the discomfort. I am a slim person (32, 20, 34 measurements) and I can adjust this down enough to fit me. If you have an sij injury I highly recommend you get this to help with healing.
This fits perfect- as snug or loose as you want. I ordered the regular size (I am a 12-14 size) and it's very comfortable and does not ride up when exercising. I’ve had lower back and pinch nerves sciatica pain down both legs for a year now .. hip flexor pain and so on ..
